If there is one location in New York City that needs absolutely no introduction, it’s the Brooklyn Bridge. Spanning the East River with 140 years of history woven into it, it’s the kind of landmark that earns its reputation. Not just as an architectural marvel, but as one of the most breathtaking backdrops for a New York City couple’s photoshoot. Kai and Garrett let me photograph them in this beautiful couples session, and I have been holding onto these images with both hands ever since. Consider this my formal surrender because I simply could not keep them to myself any longer.

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of NYC's most visited landmarks, which means timing is everything for a Brooklyn Bridge photoshoot. We made the deliberate choice to start early, arriving from the Brooklyn side just as the sun crept above the horizon. Soft light spilled across the bridge's cables, the city skyline glowed in the distance, and it felt as if time had completely halted.
