Intimate Garden Wedding at Four Oaks Manor

Buford, Georgia

alejandra & David

There is simply nothing like capturing one of your best friend's wedding days. For some background, Ale and I have known each other since second grade. What started with us playing Barbies turned into a lifelong friendship and us getting engaged on the same exact day a few years ago. When she asked me to capture her big day. you already know the tears were FLOWING.

Ale and David had an intimate wedding in North Georgia at Four Oaks Manor - a quaint venue perfect for a garden-style wedding. When describing her dream wedding day and wedding photos, Ale said she wanted it to feel like a fairytale! She wore the prettiest lace detail wedding dress with an INSANE train that added the most stunning touch to all of her wedding photos.

If there’s one thing about A + D, they are going to do things THEIR WAY. There were so many unique moments to their wedding day that made it even more fun to capture. David + his boys said screw tradition and rocked checkered vans as their wedding shoes - an ode to Ale + David meeting at the skatepark. The two are nicknamed “thatdudeinblue” and “thatgirlinred” so it was only fitting that they each wore colored glasses during their amazing dance party.

But if I had to pin point my favorite moments of the day, it would be the multiple first looks. Ale had the best first look with her dad and her brother who was dressed in his military blues. Watching this moment unfold between people who are family to me made me an emotional WRECK in the best way. David had a few first looks of his own - one of which was a huge surprise. His best man pranked him for a first look in a white dress and there was laughter all throughout the courtyard. Right after though, Ale + David had a first look of their own and shared their private vows. And last but not least, we can’t forget their first look with their fur-baby, Ghost.

If you let me, I could go on and on about their wedding day cause damn was it special. From getting ready with the girls, to their sweet portraits and amazing reception, and their sparkler exit, The Patterson wedding will have a hold on my heart forever. Here’s to forever, Ale + David!

A huge massive thank you to Abby Frame Photos who associate shot the second half of this wedding for me so that I could hug necks and bust a move on the dancefloor with my childhood bestie.
