Thinking back to this evening with Katie + Chase I can’t help but get the warm and fuzzies. We met up on the coast of South Carolina at Sea Pines for their dream engagement session on the beach. Katie reached out to me during planning and had a vision for motion-filled and editorial-style photos for her and Chase’s engagement session and I think we met the mark.

We started their session closer to the dunes with the cutest beach picnic setup made possible by none other than Katie herself. The fringe umbrella and blanket added the perfect cozy touch to their shoot. After spending some time learning more about Katie + Chase’s love story, we made our way down to the water where the real magic happened.

I’m really BIG on movement in my sessions so definitely come ready to do a tiny bit of a workout! Shooting at the beach is one of my favorites because there is SO much room to play. What started as strolling down the shoreline turned into playful spins, dips, and kisses that made for the dreamiest movie-like shots. No, but actually, I felt like I was living in “The Last Song” this entire session. Watching K + C interact was magic. They were so in tune with one another and it made capturing this special season for them so dang easy.

So looking forward to making my way back to Sea Pines for their wedding day. If their engagement session is any indication of what their big day will look like, I’m already swooning!
